How much is a broken spring in Cape Coral?
Most spring replacements run $200 to $500 installed for a matched pair, depending on door weight and spring size. We change both springs at once because they wear together, and the price is agreed before we start.
Do I need a permit to replace my garage door in Cape Coral?
Yes. The City of Cape Coral requires a permit and an inspection for a replacement garage door, and the application has to list the manufacturer and the Florida Product Approval number. Outside the city, in unincorporated Lee County, the county issues the permit. We take care of it.
Does my neighborhood need to approve a new door?
Large parts of Cape Coral have no homeowners association, so the permit is the only approval. Gated communities such as Sandoval and Cape Harbour do have architectural review, and we give you the product sheet and photos to submit.
My door was damaged in a storm. Repair or replace?
It depends on the panels and the track. A bent track or a single creased panel can often be repaired. If the door has lost its shape or its reinforcement is damaged, it can no longer be relied on to hold in high wind and replacement is the safe answer. We show you what we find.
Can you come out the same day?
Usually, for a broken spring or a door that will not close. You get an arrival window when you book, and if we cannot make it today we tell you straight away.
I live on a salt water canal. Why does my hardware rust so fast?
Salt in the air settles on springs, cables, hinges and track and eats the coating. We check for corrosion on every visit near the water and can fit galvanized or stainless parts where it makes sense.
